Whether or not these new additions will be able to compete with the strongest Spartans in Halo remains to be seen though. There will likely be many more Spartans introduced that add to the universe's mythos and some of them will likely become fan favorites. The Recon set returns in Halo: Reach, though largely unrelated to its Halo 3 predecessor in visuals. Modes like Forge and co-op campaign will also go a long way toward building up an audience invested in the series' lore and characters.
